Responsibilities
- Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: Utilize full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision.
- Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: Clearly explain treatments, review discharge instructions, and provide reassurance during stressful times.
- Lead and Elevate Your Team: Guide and support colleagues, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering a focused, collaborative atmosphere.
- Ensure Seamless Care: Maintain clear and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
- Calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
- One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
Qualifications
- Current state license in good standing.
- Proven ability to handle animals of all temperaments and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
