Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of California
- Fear Free Certification or willingness to become certified
- Proficiency in the following skills: Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery; Surgical assistance and aseptic technique; Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography; Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement; Radiology positioning and safety protocols; Medication administration and accurate drug calculations; Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
Qualifications
Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.
Pay and Benefits
- Schedule: Full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday and 2 weekend inventory days per year
- Compensation: $33 - $38 per hour, for each hour worked
