About the Role

We are looking for a Vascular Technologist to assist the physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite, or hospital setting. Your goal is to ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
  • Prepare area for the placement of testing equipment; perform vascular tests on patients (including arterial and venous leg testing, carotid artery imaging).
  • Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information, such as blood flow and pressure; cerebral, abdominal, and peripheral circulation.
  • During procedures, monitor patient’s vital signs/assist with rooming patients as backup to MA.
  • Maintain equipment; may schedule patients for testing.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; seeks guidance and direction when needed.
  • May perform vascular testing in the office and hospital setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician.
  • Strong patient/customer service orientation.
  • Maintains a professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work and works in a cooperative, team-oriented manner.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to handle shifting priorities.
  • Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g., visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS, or CCI); BA degree a plus.
  • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required.
