About the Role
We are looking for a Vascular Technologist to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients in the office, surgical suite, or hospital setting. Your goal is to ensure a smooth workflow so our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for non-invasive diagnostic vascular procedures.
- Prepare area for the placement of testing equipment; perform vascular tests on patients (including arterial and venous leg testing, carotid artery imaging).
- Use ultrasound machines to record vascular information, such as blood flow and pressure; cerebral, abdominal, and peripheral circulation.
- During procedures, monitor patient’s vital signs/assist with rooming patients as backup to MA.
- Maintain equipment; schedule patients for testing.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Program and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned; seek guidance and direction when needed.
- Perform vascular testing in the office and hospital setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Vascular Technician.
- Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program (CAHEP, ARDMS, or CCI); BA degree a plus.
- Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or RVS required.
