Registered Vascular Sonographer - (Sonography - Sono)
About the role
Travel Vascular Sonographer position in Waterloo, Iowa performing general, OB/GYN, and vascular scans for a diverse patient population. You will complete up to 15 scans per day, including abdomen, small parts, OB dating, measurements, BPPs, fetal anatomy, transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging, venous and arterial doppler, ABIs, aorta duplex, carotid arterial doppler, and hepatic and renal doppler exams. Assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular scans
- Complete up to 15 scans per day
- Abdomen, small parts, OB dating, measurements, BPPs, fetal anatomy
- Transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging
- Venous and arterial doppler, ABIs, aorta duplex, carotid arterial doppler
- Hepatic and renal doppler exams
- Assist with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis (preferred)
Requirements
Minimum 24 months experience in an ultrasound/sonographer role; experience in general/abdomen, non high‑risk OB/GYN, and vascular; EPIC EMR experience; ARDMS (AB) certification; ARDMS (RVT) and ARDMS (OB/GYN) highly preferred.
Required certifications: RVT‑VT‑ARDMS (copy needed), BLS‑AHA (copy needed), RDMS‑AB‑ARDMS (copy needed). SSN and DOB required; work history should not have more than 30 days of gap; one reference within the last 24 months.
