Armed Maverick is a 5-year-old Registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, standing 15.2 hands high, born on March 19, 2021. He is a versatile and experienced horse with a willing attitude and dependable disposition, suited for riders looking for a trail and field trial partner.
Experience and Training
Maverick has extensive field trial experience, having spent a season working on a quail plantation in Tennessee and Georgia. He is accustomed to bird dogs, flushing birds, gunfire, wagons, and large groups of riders. Additionally, he has been trail ridden extensively throughout Tennessee and Georgia and is comfortable riding alone or in a group.
Temperament and Abilities
Maverick stands quietly for the farrier, bathing, clipping, grooming, and tacking. He loads and unloads with ease, travels well, and has excellent ground manners. Under saddle, he offers a comfortable trail walk, smooth flat walk, and a lope. He confidently handles water crossings, rocky terrain, bridges, wildlife, traffic, ATVs, and heavy woods, and ground ties, taking new situations in stride.
