Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NICU - Cardiopulmonary (Nights)

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties by hospital policy/procedure under general supervision. This can include administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.
• Holds a high level of customer service representation.
• Participates actively in the continuous quality improvement process.
• Serves as a resource to other employees.

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework.
• Experience: One year of related experience.
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, Healthcare Provider (CPR), ACLS Certification, NRP Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Must attend S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment.
• Must become certified in NRP, PALS and ACLS within 10 months of employment.
• At least 1 year Level III NICU experience either with Tanner or at another Level III NICU facility.
