Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor patients receiving continuous mechanical ventilation.
• Deliver prescribed medical gases and aerosol therapy.
• Perform pulse oximetry for oxygen titration.
• Administer and monitor all respiratory and therapeutic modalities including aerosolized medications, sputum inductions, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling and analyses.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum: Associates Degree - Graduate of an AMA respiratory therapist program. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience: 2 year Vocational Training in Respiratory Therapy or will train new graduates.
• Certification/License/Registration: Current Florida License as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Skills: Skills in EKG, EEG and Holter Monitoring preferred.
