Registered Respiratory Therapist - Part Time - Day Shift

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients of all ages, following physician orders and established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic procedures, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation.
• Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Deliver intermittent therapies and assist with artificial airway management.
• Document clinical information, educate patients and staff, and perform diagnostic procedures.
• Adapt care to patient age and needs, ensuring compliance with laws and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current state license and NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.

• Proficiency in computer use and software applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and working in a patient care environment.
• Flexibility to work in various settings and handle occupational risks, including exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous materials.
