Registered Respiratory Therapist, Full-Time/Nights

About the role

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician’s orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct respiratory care to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Evaluate and recommend therapy effectiveness to consulting physicians.
• Serve as an advanced clinical resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care matters.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state licensure requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Critical care experience.

Physical Demands

• Push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
• Pinch up to 10 lbs.
• Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Equipment Used

All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Schedule

Nightshift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Eligible for shift differential.

Pay

Sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
