Role Overview: A Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders to improve their outcomes and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced airway care, ventilator management, and assist with procedures like bronchoscopy and high-frequency ventilation.Support NICU patients with surfactant delivery, intubation, and attending high-risk deliveries.Initiate and monitor nitric oxide and IV conscious sedation as per departmental protocols.Assist physicians during procedures, monitor patient status, and perform other department-specific duties.Optional roles include transport, backup charge therapy, and advanced procedures.
