About the role

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a full-time Night Shift Respiratory Therapist. This role comes with a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical assessment and care planning by evaluating patient needs and developing tailored plans of care aligned with diagnosis and long-term recovery goals.
• Deliver expert care using advanced ventilation and treatment technologies to stabilize patients and drive superior clinical outcomes during critical care windows.
• Act as a vital link in the medical team by meticulously monitoring patient conditions and providing high-fidelity data to ensure safe and effective care transitions.
• Provide compassionate guidance to patients and families regarding their health conditions and connect them to essential community support and recovery programs.
• Respond with precision and decisive action as a key member of the emergency code team to deliver life-saving respiratory interventions in high-pressure situations.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
