How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Clinical Assessment & Care Planning: Evaluate patient-specific needs to develop, implement, and dynamically adapt specialized respiratory care plans.
- Advanced Modality Management: Monitor and manage complex respiratory treatments, utilizing high-tech equipment and advanced clinical modalities.
- Outcome Evaluation & Optimization: Analyze patient responses to medications and therapies to continuously optimize clinical practices and outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy & Family Education: Educate families on respiratory health conditions while connecting them to vital community support resources.
- Emergency Leadership: Act as a core, decisive member of rapid response and emergency medical resuscitation teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
