Registered Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, implement cardiorespiratory protocols, and perform advanced airway procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, including monitoring and assessment of patient consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary status.Deliver IV conscious sedation and potential reversal agents.Initiate and coordinate ventilator management, including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide delivery.Perform advanced airway care such as tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.Handle NICU-specific duties like surfactant delivery, intubation, and attending high-risk deliveries.Optional roles include transport, intubation, and back-up charge therapist duties.Perform department-specific functions and other assigned tasks. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care.NM Respiratory Care Practitioner license, NBRC credential, BLS, ACLS/PALS certifications.Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred. Additional Information This role offers educational and career development, shift differentials, safety programs, malpractice insurance, loan forgiveness, and use of electronic charting systems. It involves 12-hour night shifts in a PRN capacity with no specified compensation range.
