About the role

The UHealth System at the University of Miami is seeking a Full Time Registered Respiratory Therapist 2 (U) to join our team at University of Miami Hospital.

Core Job Functions

• Counsels patients on disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and the use of medications and respiratory equipment.
• Maintains patient records and monitors physiological responses to therapy.
• Trains and mentors students, respiratory therapy technicians, and assistants.
• Operates and maintains respiratory therapy equipment.
• Assists doctors in cardiac and pulmonary research.
• Performs diagnostic tests and assists in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a two (2) year program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current and Valid State of Florida Respiratory Therapist license.
• Current and Valid BLS/CPR, PALS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
