About the Role
Join a growing firm with over 80 years of combined expertise as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) Project Manager. In this leadership-focused role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of surveying, engineering, and land development projects—from initial client engagement and planning through final delivery. You will maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and lead team workflows to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor and support team members in their professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Learn and implement 4Ward Standards of Service in leadership execution
- Train and develop team members to advance within the company
- Perform annual evaluations and routine check-ins with team members regarding career goals
- Approve timecards and vacation requests while ensuring project deadlines are met
- Create proposals and secure signed notice-to-proceed from clients
- Obtain client billing information
- Utilize Unanet CRM & AE to schedule resources and manage project workflows
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high-quality deliverables
- Visit job sites to meet with clients or crews as needed
- Provide timely communication to clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform QA/QC and peer review of products, resolving complex client project issues
- Develop new business partnerships and grow existing client relationships
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required
Requirements
- Active Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an RPLS, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Active participation in industry associations
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong technical knowledge and business development experience
- Proficiency in CAD, with Civil 3D required
