Registered Pharmacy Tech., Part-Time (Fabens)

Summary

Under supervision of the pharmacists, prepares prescriptions for final check by pharmacists. Duties include order entry, medication retrieval and counting, third party billing, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Order entry into computer profile
• Pulling and counting medications
• Processing third party billings
• Inventory replacement and management

Requirements

• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications
• Advanced Pharmacy Technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• High School graduate or equivalent or graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Program preferred
