Registered Pharmacy Tech. Out-Patient (Relief)

About the role

Under supervision of the pharmacists, the employee is able to accomplish all areas with the mechanical preparation of prescriptions for final check by pharmacists. Duties include order entry into computer profile, pulling and counting medications, and processing of third‑party billings and inventory replacement and management.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescription orders into the computer profile.
• Pull and count medications for preparation.
• Process third‑party billings.
• Manage inventory replacement and overall inventory management.

Skills

• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Advanced Pharmacy Technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.

Experience

• Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Licensure

Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent; graduation from a Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
