Job Description
Job Title: Registered Pharmacist, Fulfillment Center
Location: Pharmacy Fulfillment Center
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function: Complies with the department standards for operating procedures, customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability. Delivers quality care to patients/customers and is accountable for issues within the department.

Reports to: AVP, Pharmacy Services; Pharmacy Manager

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate filling of prescriptions through automation at facility.
- Maintains standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
- Generates a friendly atmosphere and sets a good example.
- Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability.
- Smiles and greets employees in a friendly manner.
- Films proper paperwork for licenses (State and Federal) with proper agencies.
- Performs controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended.
- Maintains inventory levels by ordering and stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory.
- Understands retail Hy-Vee operations to serve them with accurate, prompt prescriptions.
- Counsels, coaches, and trains employees; encourages additional education and training.
- Responds to complaints in a timely manner.
- Adheres to company policies and Fulfillment Center guidelines.
- Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Instructing, reviewing work, assigning work, planning work of others, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, and allocating personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker Characteristics
- Ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations.
- Able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.
Education And Experience
- Education: College degree in pharmacy and licensed.
- Experience: Over one year of related or similar work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
- Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
- This position frequently involves a fast work pace in a production setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks daily.
Equipment Used to Perform Job
- High volume solutions robotics, operating software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Contacts
- Daily contact with Fulfillment Center employees.
- Occasional contact with vendors, stores and government agencies.
Financial Responsibility
- Is fully responsible for company assets including prescription inventory, pharmacy computer and software, and pharmacy fixtures.
Confidentiality
- Maintains the confidentiality of the customer's private medical information according to the HIPAA act.
- Maintains the confidentiality of prescription drug pricing and costs.
Handling Hazardous Drugs
- The USP 800 is intended to ensure that personnel of reproductive capability understand the risks of handling hazardous drugs.
- I acknowledge that exposure to hazardous drugs may cause acute and chronic effects.
- Failure to follow pharmacy policies and procedures may put me at greater risk of exposure to hazardous drugs.
