Registered Pharmacist - Part Time or PRN

About the role

Quality RX is a woman-owned closed-door pharmacy located in Carmel, Indiana, dedicated to providing medication support within the county jail setting. We strive to assist individuals in maintaining their wellness and recovery processes upon release from incarceration.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Comply with court orders, medical department rules, and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate any discrepancies to providers quickly to prevent disruptions in patient care.
• Accurately and efficiently process, package, and dispense prescriptions.
• Maintain records for controlled substances and remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure work is accurate.
• Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to Supervisor.
• Participate in periodic drug utilization reviews of facilities.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Present/participate in in-service education sessions.
• Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Requirements

• The Registered Pharmacist must be licensed in the state of Indiana.
• Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Experience working in a closed door/institutional pharmacy is required.
• Experience with FrameWork is helpful, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
