Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy care to patients in a skilled nursing environment.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Supervise and evaluate OT assistants, rehab aides, and students, ensuring quality care and adherence to standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using therapy software.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient safety initiatives and participate in community health programs.
• Support communication between patients and their families.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies with professionalism and integrity.
• Ensure proper body mechanics, patient safety, and confidentiality at all times.
• Perform patient assessments, establish goals, and modify treatments to achieve functional improvement.
• Assist in patient evacuation procedures as needed.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and sound judgment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to ethical standards.
