Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitative care in occupational therapy, following physician referrals and adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certified (renewal optional)
• Accredited degree in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
• Active state license
• At least one year experience in post-acute care preferred
• CPR certification upon hire and must be kept current

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans aligned with goals and functional needs
• Supervise and evaluate OTAs, rehab aides, and students
• Cook with patients, families, and support teams to plan care
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize therapy software appropriately
• Ensure safety, patient rights, and confidentiality in all procedures
• Participate in community health initiatives and uphold professional standards and policies
• Demonstrate excellent customer service, professionalism, and teamwork
• Absorb physical activities including lifting, bending, and moving as needed
