Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients, focusing on improving functional abilities and quality of life within a supportive environment. The role involves creating and adjusting treatment plans, evaluating patient progress, and supervising therapy assistants and students. The OT collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety, adherence to regulations, and proper documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist in the applicable state
• Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Optional renewal of NBCOT certification upon hire; CPR certification required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and therapy software
• Ability to make independent decisions and maintain professionalism

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and modify occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician referral
• Assess patient needs and establish measurable, functional goals
• Supervise and evaluate therapy aides and students
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and charts
• Collaborate with patients, families, and team members to coordinate care
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulations and policies
• Participate in community health projects and promote a positive patient experience
