About the role

This role involves managing women’s services activities, workflow, and nursing resources within a hospital setting. The nurse develops individualized care plans based on health data, coordinates woman‑, newborn‑, and family‑centered care, and employs health‑education strategies to promote health and safety. Responsibilities include evaluating patient progress, making ethical decisions, and practicing culturally inclusive care. The nurse collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams, serving as a role model, mentor, and change agent while maintaining current evidence‑based knowledge. The position emphasizes quality improvement, safety, environmental responsibility, and resource considerations in delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and utilize health data to create care plans.
  • Coordinate and deliver safe, holistic, woman‑, newborn‑, and family‑centered care.
  • Assess and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting care as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Model and mentor evidence‑based nursing practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Current RN licensure in the relevant state.
  • Required certifications such as BLS, ALS, NRP, PALS, or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to perform standing, walking, lifting, and other movements necessary for patient care.
