Registered Nurse with IV skills - 4 day workweek

About the role

RNs are responsible for performing clinical duties within their designated scope of practice that also promotes excellent patient care. Administers appropriate medications to patients within assigned area of responsibility at the direction/order by the physician. RNs are responsible for accurate documentation of clinical history, maintain a radiation-protected environment for themselves and patients, and can operate routine equipment as well as monitor CT IVs and sedation of patients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate documentation of patients’ clinical history, administered procedures, medications, and other pertinent patient care information in the medical record and CR RIS system
• Assess and treat patients during procedures and during times of medical distress
• Access patient's venous system through an implanted port for contrast administration and/or lab values
• Administer sedation medications as ordered to claustrophobic patients during radiologic procedures
• Maintain and procure complete and accurate inventory of all necessary emergency medical supplies, including controlled substance count
• Perform and abide by sterile technique standards and create sterile trays for procedures
• Comply with all CR organizational and clinical policy and procedures that apply to the role
• Assist the technologist with patient care throughout to maximize workflow efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• RN/LPN license
• 3-5 years of experience
• Radiology experience preferred
• ACLS/BLS certification
