Registered Nurse - West 2 Med/Surg
About the Role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and reports to the Nurse Manager/Director.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred
- Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
- BLS certification required
- Med/Surg experience preferred
- Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required
- Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit
Schedule
- Flex nurses will generally work 24 hours per week
- Hours may flex up to 12 additional hours or down by 12 hours within a week based on hospital patient care requirements
- Call is required for this position
- Scheduled weekly hours: 36
- Work shift: Day

Pay
Pay range: $42.19 - $72.88/hourly (Grade RN4N33). Base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. Additional compensation may include differentials, premiums, bonuses, and career advancement opportunities.
