Registered Nurse - Weekender - Med Surg

About the role

This position involves providing nursing care in both office and patient care environments, requiring strong clinical skills and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and deliver direct care to individuals of all age groups.
• Follow infection control policies and utilize PPE appropriately.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing school, with a preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
• Certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes; professional specialty certification and TNCC preferred.
• Experience in acute or ambulatory care settings is a plus.

Work environment

The role is performed in office and patient care areas that are climate-controlled, requiring physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Access to patient information includes sensitive data (Level 4), with no staff supervision responsibilities.
