Registered Nurse / Week Night RN On Call

Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 / yearly depending on experience

About the role

The Caris On-Call Registered Nurse is normally scheduled to work on weekends and/or “after hours” on weekdays. The On-Call RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients according to the physician's orders, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Make patient visits each week, with some issues resolvable by phone but many “after hours” and/or weekend calls requiring an in-person visit.
• Be available for work-related phone calls throughout scheduled “after hours” and/or weekend work hours, answering calls directly unless actively assisting a patient or on a call with a patient/family.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Nursing experience required; experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Must possess a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and elements of patient/family teaching.
