RN Registered Nurse opportunities available for Full-time, Part-time, and PRN positions at Maple Heights Behavioral Health, a state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital. Full-time roles include bonuses: $10,000 for Day Shift and $15,000 for Night Shift.

Pay

  • Rates: $39–$51/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift differentials up to $6.25/hour

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
  • Part-time: Two 12-hour shifts per week, one weekend per month
  • PRN: Must be available to attend a full week of orientation

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
  • Provide nursing care within state Nurse Practice Act regulations, facility policies, and protocols.
  • Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
  • Assess and document patients’ status on an ongoing basis, notifying physicians of significant changes.
  • Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission and ensure they are specific to assessed needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions in direct patient care.
  • Administer medications accurately and document controlled substance counts.
  • Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients, respecting boundaries and personal space.
  • Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to practice in the state of employment.
  • One year of nursing experience; psychiatric, mental health, behavioral, or substance abuse experience preferred.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
  • AHRN certification (if applicable).
