Registered Nurse Traveler IMCU Days

Location: Williamsburg, VA

Work Shift: First (Days) – 14‑week assignment

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide acute cardiac, stroke, and IMCU care on a temporary, traveler basis for a 14‑week assignment at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. This role offers a rate of $70 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Apply standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent care, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and resource utilization.
• Coordinate care, provide teaching and health promotion, and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system.

Requirements

• RN degree (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
• Valid Virginia RN license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in an IMCU/step‑down medical‑surgical unit.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $70 per hour (market compensation under review).
