About the role
Under general supervision renders professional nursing care in accordance with physicians' treatment plans in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients' condition
- Administers prescribed drugs
- Provides treatments
- Observes patients' progress
- Records pertinent observations and reports reaction to drugs and treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations
- Prepares instruments and equipment for physicians' use
Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing or BSN) or, if attended an approved nursing school, must have two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years.
Experience: One to two years’ experience required.
RN License to practice as a professional Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
Qualifications
Credentials: Registered Nurse, BLS and ACLS Certifications through AHA or Red Cross.
