Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Full Time, Nights

About the role

Guthrie Cortland Medical Center (GCMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Telemetry Unit on a full-time night shift basis. The position offers a competitive compensation package including a $25,000 sign-on bonus for eligible, experienced RNs.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment and documents accurately in a timely manner per nursing and department policy.
• Monitors patient as appropriate for condition, status and safety according to nursing department policy.
• Inserts IVs under aseptic technique and follows IV policy by changing site, tubing and dressing and documents accordingly.
• Assists providers in performing procedures and treatments per unit, department specific and hospital policy.
• Provides patient a safe discharge and appropriate follow-up information and community resources are in place.
• Participates in interdisciplinary planning and completes all pre-discharge checklist items.

Requirements

• Entry level-graduate per Education requirements
• Specialty Units-At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing preferred. (i.e. ICU, Maternity, Psych)

Skills

Qualifications

• Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse
• Current BLS-CPR certification required (or within first 30 days of employment)
• Maternity – Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months of employment
• ICU- ACLS within 6 months of hire

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $54.12 per hour, plus differentials!

Schedule

Full time on Night Shift working three 12 hour shifts.
