About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using evidence-based practices, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN performs comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, social, and psychological status, collaborating with the care team, patients, and families to develop individualized care plans. They direct and coordinate care delivery, delegate tasks, and prioritize patient needs. The RN evaluates patient responses to interventions, revises care plans as needed, and ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and gather information from the interdisciplinary team
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with patient and family involvement
- Delegate and coordinate care activities within the team
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting care plans accordingly
- Ensure legal, ethical, and professional standards are maintained
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Current RN license in the practice state, with valid compact licenses transferred within 60 days if applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, patient care coordination, and documentation skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including patient lifting, moving, and frequent standing or walking
