Registered Nurse Team Lead, Primary Care Clinic

About the role

Under the guidance and supervision of the Clinical Nursing Manager, the Registered Nurse Team Lead oversees the Family Medicine clinic workflow and staffing assignments. This role works closely with the Primary Care Nursing Manager to manage staffing levels, coordinate care, and enhance clinical practice and resident/student education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates staffing levels and clinical workflow in the Family Medicine clinic.
• Acts as the Vaccine Coordinator for the VFC program.
• Assists physicians in patient flow, treatment, testing, and orders.
• Fills in as needed during staffing shortages.
• Monitors staffing and workflow, making suggestions to the Clinical Nursing Manager for adjustments.
• Assists the Clinical Nursing Manager with coordinating daily and monthly schedules.
• Assists in interviewing and selection of new staff.
• Responsible for orientation of new staff.
• Assists in ongoing training for department staff.
• Helps resolve staff issues and conflicts.
• Assists in identifying and maintaining clinical practice guidelines.
• Attends meetings as requested.
• Available to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings for time-sensitive projects.
• Acquires knowledge of new technology and policy/procedure revisions.
• Assists in meeting Quality and Payer Incentive program goals.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
