About the Role

Responsible for the nursing care of patients requiring specialized judgment and skill. The RN works throughout the hospital(s), floating to a variety of nursing units to assist in staffing clinical nursing positions and is available for assignment on an ad‑hoc basis. The RN adapts quickly to a wide range of unit protocols and patient populations while demonstrating the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care across diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (required).

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (must be obtained before starting unit orientation).
• Registered Nurse – Tennessee Board of Nursing (required).
• Registered Nurse – Mississippi Board of Nursing (preferred).
• Registered Nurse – Arkansas State Board of Nursing (preferred).
• Advanced Life Support – American Red Cross (preferred).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred).

Supervision

The Registered Nurse directs and delegates all patient care activities on nursing units.

Physical Demands

• Flexible schedule; must be available to work shifts according to agreed commitment level.
• Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Medium work – exerting up to 50 lb of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lb frequently.
• Requires good balance, coordination, and close visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision).
• Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact; exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with availability to work shifts as needed; travel independently to assigned locations.
