About the role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Weaver 7 Surgical Oncology Progressive Care team at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time position is on the night shift. In collaboration with MD Anderson, we are rated the nation’s top provider in cancer care, transforming lives for patients and their families.
Weaver 7 has achieved a 100% response rate with a high ranking on the 2025 Press Ganey Employee Engagement Survey for the third time and recently received the prestigious Daisy Team Award.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as a patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Requirements
- 1 year of Medical Surgical Nursing experience
- Hospital experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association, required)
- Active Registered Nurse license (required)
