About the role
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub functions such as handling instruments and supplies.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions, managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment.
- Apply evidence-based practices and adhere to professional nursing standards and ethics.
- Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Valid RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
- BLS certification.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform various movements; sensory skills such as vision, hearing, and smell.
Schedule
- Day shifts, Monday-Friday, with on-call shifts post-orientation.
