REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR (RN) - OAK FOREST HEALTH & REHAB CENTER

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to assure the best patient care possible by supervising the facility and directing the nursing staff during the shift. This role assists the Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Nursing services for the facility during shift in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise and assist Nurses with patients during acute episodes.
• Address and document employee problems on a timely basis.
• Assume on-call responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; proof of license renewal required every other year.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
• Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures; adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide quality nursing care to patients and follow doctor orders.
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
