Responsibilities

As the RN House Supervisor, you will supervise the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff on a designated unit. This includes:

  • Supervising the implementation of nursing care plans and ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Assessing patient needs and adjusting care plans accordingly to meet individualized patient requirements.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Providing direct patient care as needed, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient education.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by implementing and enforcing safety measures.
  • Documenting patient care activities accurately and maintaining thorough medical records.
  • Participating in regular meetings with nursing staff to discuss patient care issues and improve care delivery.
  • Overseeing the orientation and training of new nursing staff members.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Licensure and registration by the Mississippi Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, or multi-state license as approved by NCSBN.
  • CPR Current CPR or BLS certification.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and CPR training.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

This position is full-time with 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.), Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Monday.
