Description of Work
This position oversees nursing services to ensure residents receive high quality care and support. The role focuses on supervising staff, coordinating care, and maintaining a safe environment. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Guide staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care across multiple areas
- Support collaboration among nursing staff, administration, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide clear communication to residents, families, and staff while facilitating organizational updates
- Offer ongoing training, orientation, and performance guidance for nursing personnel
- Complete records, evaluations, and required reports while monitoring resident care quality
- Respond to critical situations and ensure resident safety during urgent events
Qualifications Required
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
- Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
