About the role
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Registered Nurse - Staff to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
- Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications
- Edits patients and family about pre, intra, and post procedure care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts and sedations) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
- Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patient
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
- Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
- Monitors patient conditions including vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
- Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Documents patient history and physical assessment for assigned patients
- Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction
- Department Support:
- Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
- Aids in establishing, evaluating and updating patient care standards
- Maintains patient monitoring equipment and nursing equipment
- Maintains medication reconciliation for expired supplies
- Completes weekly automated external defibrillator (AED) & monthly crash-cart check offs
- Keeps daily temperature logs of medication fridge and blanket warmer
- Maintains iStat (handheld diagnostic blood analyzer) log monthly, and upon receipt of new cartridges
- Other Duties and Projects as Assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with current appropriate state licensure, current and in good standing
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Requires current Tuberculosis (TB) test
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Experience in outpatient radiology
- Bilingual
Qualifications
- Required:
- Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of radiology procedures and protocols

Pay
The pay range for this position is $27.14-$42.41 based on direct and relevant experience.
Schedule
This position has the option of working parttime 30-39 hours/week in a 0.8 or 0.9 status.
