Key Responsibilities
- Delivering advanced, compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population by cultivating collaborative relationships and adapting to changing technologies in an evolving model of patient care.
- Facilitating care coordination for complex spina bifida patients with:
- Phone calls related to patient issues/triage.
- Prescription refills, lab evaluation, pre-operative and post-operative plans.
- New patient intakes to assess care acuity prior to clinic visit.
- Working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
- Serving as a liaison between the interdisciplinary physician team, nurse practitioners, and administrative staff.
- Improving patient safety and patient experience.
- Engaging in health teaching with the patient and their family in collaboration with the health care team.
- Referring patients to community resources, developing relationships with ancillary services to assist in problem solving/facilitate patient access and care.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, with previous experience with pediatric complex-care patients preferred.
Education
- MA RN License required.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this position at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
