Responsibilities
- Nursing Care Delivery: Administer medications, treatments, and restorative techniques
- Patient Assessment: Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient conditions to guide care decisions
- Clinical Support: Assist clinicians during physical exams, clinics, and diagnostic testing
- Emergency Response: Provide first aid, CPR, and AED intervention as needed
- Record Management: Maintain accurate electronic health records and prepare required reports
Qualifications
- Necessary Special Requirements: Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
- Basic Training: Must complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
- Eligibility: Eligible to apply if within 60 days of graduation from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing
Benefits
Full-time employment, 40-hour work week. The Department of Corrections operates 24/7, with multiple shifts covering the facility 365 days a year. Work hours TO BE DETERMINED. Alternative work schedules may be available, depending on operational needs.

Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $89,882.00 (before taxes).
