Registered Nurse / RN Wound Care

About the role

Join our team as a day‑shift, full‑time Inpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Under the supervision of the Coordinator, the Outpatient Wound Care RN performs the primary function of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN acts as a partner in care, anticipating and providing for the needs of patients, families, and significant others while upholding system policies, procedures, and service‑excellence goals within a shared‑governance clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with wound care needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate wound care interventions, documenting outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for patients, ensuring their voice is heard in care decisions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and shared‑governance standards.
• Provide education to patients, families, and significant others regarding wound care management.

Requirements

• Completion of a state‑approved Registered Nurse program.
• Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire (or transfer) and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements

• At least one (1) year of wound care experience.
