Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Auxiliaries patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
- Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current state RN license.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.
