Registered Nurse (RN) - Urology

About the role

As a Urology RN, you'll work closely with urologists, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with a wide range of urologic conditions. You'll play a key role in patient assessment, telephone triage, procedure preparation and recovery, patient education, care coordination, medication management, and ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment journey.

This role offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients while combining clinical expertise with education and care coordination. Every day brings the chance to assist with in-office procedures, educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care, coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty referrals, and help patients navigate sensitive health concerns with compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Schedule

Predictable Monday through Friday, 40-hour day shift schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care to patients and families through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Perform a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners
• Patient assessment and telephone triage
• Procedure preparation and recovery
• Patient education and care coordination
• Medication management
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty referrals
• Assist with in-office procedures

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Maine (or applicable state) license as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• One year of recent RN experience required
• Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
