Registered Nurse (RN Triage & Support)

About the role

The person hired will be responsible for the coordination of patient care and an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, primarily via the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines
• Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care
• Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response
• Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting
• Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and eCW are beneficial

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey licensure as a Registered Nurse

Pay or Shift Range

$30/hour to $38/hour

Office Hours - 7AM-5PM, with evening hours available on Thursday until 7PM
