Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry/Stroke

About the role

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Telemetry/Stroke unit. Located at 100 Grand Street, New Britain (10126), the hospital is an acute‑care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine, surgery, and a wide variety of specialties. Responsibilities

• Practice at the top of your license using research, innovation, and evidence‑based practices.
• Participate in clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as part of the Nurse Residency program.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a healthy work environment with healthy staff ratios.
• Adhere to hospital policies including no mandating or off‑shift rotations.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• ASN or BSN degree.
• One‑year recent acute care RN experience (preferred).

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Three 12‑hour shifts per week (36 hours/week).
• Flexible scheduling.
• Every other weekend (or every third weekend, depending on unit needs).
• Every other holiday.
