Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry

About the role

The TELEMETRY REGISTERED NURSE (RN) provides specialized nursing care to adult patients in a telemetry unit setting. This role requires a combination of clinical assessment, therapy implementation, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individualized patient assessment and collaborates with other team members to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Performs appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Provides individualized patient and family teaching.
• Documents patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
• Maintains confidentiality and advocates for patient rights.
• Maintains competency in post-acute care through participation in continuing education programs.
• Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
• Delegates effectively and appropriately.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current and unrestricted RN nursing license in the state of practice.
• Two years of experience as an RN in a Telemetry Unit in the last three years.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS credentials.
