Registered Nurse (RN) - Tele-Stroke

Part-time, benefits-eligible position with 24 hours per week. Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pay

Pay range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour.

About the role

This fully remote position supports the acute stroke population in the Greater Charlotte Market, with a contingency plan to deploy to the closest Atrium facility equipped with telestroke capabilities if needed. As a Telestroke RN, you will work collaboratively with the medical team to coordinate appropriate care for acute stroke patients via virtual care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
• At least 5 years of RN experience (not suitable for new graduates)
• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Experience in critical care, emergency services, and/or care of acute stroke patients

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
• Collaborate with the medical team to coordinate appropriate care for acute stroke patients via virtual care
